Nile views
Enjoy the most incredible Nile views while sitting at the colourful terrace of Kato Dool Nubian Resort and drinking a fresh homemade ibiscus juice!
Felluca ride at the Nile river
One of the top things to do while in Aswan is definitely the felluca ride. You can kindly ask the staff to arrange a felluca ride for you and enjoy the convenient pick up from the little dock of the resort. Prices are really low and of course theres always room for some bargaining. We suggest the sunset hours when Nile has incredible colours, its sand banks are filled with camels and the colourful Kato Dool village has its best colours on itself!
Food at Kato Dool
Foos is always a significant factor while traveling! We always choose to try local cuisine to enjoy the authentic tastes of the place we explore. Kato Dool’s open air restaurant is a great place to catch a morning coffee, a nutritious lunch and a grilled dinner just along the river banks! As you may already guessed we tried all the above! You can just order the meal of your preference and they ll get you many plates around the main course to fulfill your senses in the best way ever.  We recommend that you try the stuffed pigeon, the hummus, the pitta breads and the grilled chicken! As for the drinking you have to try having some lemon juice with basil or mint which is the refreshment locals choose to have after eating.
Facilities
As we mentioned above the whole place of the resort is being painted with vivid colours! Just take a look around the facilities to discover them all and take some amazing photos! Our room was located at the upper houses of Kato Dool and we had a private balcony that overlooks the whole Nubian village till the east bank of Nile! Same views can be found at the colourful terrace of the lower Kato Dool resort and the resaturant as well! Our room was spacious, colourful and cozy in a way that we are always looking forward during our travels!
Nubian village and the market
Just a few steps away from Kato Dool Nubian Resort you can find the cutest traditional market full of nubian local goods! The market and the photoshooting at the colourful nubian houses are also two of the top things to do in Aswan, in addition to the felluca ride, and you ll notice many tourists on motor boats and fellucas approaching Nubian Resort to visit the market! Dont forget to buy some spices and colours!
